At ScoutPro Africa, we run structured, professional trials to identify the next generation of football talent. Our scouting network is active across Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Kenya, and South Africa. Whether you're a raw prospect or an experienced player, our trials are your pathway to regional and international opportunities.

How Scouting Works

Our scouting process is data-driven and transparent:

  • Registration & Pre-Screening: Players register online with details, videos, and football history.
  • Scouting Evaluation: Our scouts review applications and invite promising candidates to open trials.
  • On-Field Assessment: Trials include technical drills, small-sided games, and full matches under observation.
  • Analytics & Reporting: We use GPS tracking and video analysis to generate performance reports.
  • Pathway Decision: Selected players are offered academy spots, showcase invitations, or direct referrals to ScoutPro Europe.

What Our Scouts Look For

We evaluate players across five core areas:

  • Technical Ability: Ball control, passing, shooting, first touch.
  • Tactical Awareness: Positioning, decision-making, game intelligence.
  • Physical Attributes: Speed, agility, strength, endurance.
  • Mental Resilience: Attitude, work rate, composure under pressure.
  • Coachability: Willingness to learn, adapt, and take feedback.

How to Prepare for Trials

  • Arrive 30 minutes early with proper ID and registration confirmation.
  • Bring football boots (FG/AG), shin pads, and both light and dark shirts.
  • Hydrate well before and bring a water bottle.
  • Warm up independently before the session starts.
  • Show respect to coaches, scouts, and other players – attitude matters.
  • Play your natural game; don't try to impress with unnecessary tricks.

What Happens After the Trial?

Within 2 weeks, all participants receive a scouting report (via email). Selected players will be invited for a second-phase assessment or directly into our development pathway. Top performers are recommended to ScoutPro Europe for international exposure.

“I was scouted at the Ibadan trials in 2024. Today, I'm training with a club in Portugal. ScoutPro gave me the chance I never thought possible.”
